Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich will be in South Carolina for a conference on health care reform.
Gingrich founded the Center for Health Transformation after leaving Congress. His group is holding an event Thursday in Columbia titled “Creating a 21st Century Intelligent Health System in South Carolina.”
Gingrich, a potential 2012 presidential candidate, will give the opening and closing remarks. He will also join Republican Gov. Mark Sanford in an hour-long session on the future of health care in the state.
