Fred Thompson / CFR / North American Union

– The CFR is pushing the North American Union (NAU)
– Fred Thompson is a member of the CFR

The CFR and the NAU:

The Immigration Amnesty Bill (S.1348) is all about the North American Union, the merger of Canada, the United States, and Mexico, promoted by the CFR:

Fred Thompson and the CFR:

Fred Thompson will be the fifth member of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) to enter the 2008 Presidential Election when he predictably officially announces his candidacy, possibly around the Fourth of July.

Thompson will be joining fellow CFR-members, US Senator John McCain (R-AZ), former Gov. Jim Gilmore (R-VA), Gov. Bill Richardson (D-NM), and US Senator Chris Dodd (D-CT). Furthermore, former US House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-GA), also a member of the CFR, has also considered entering the presidential race later this Fall (perhaps if enough Christians/conservatives don’t take the bait and swallow the lie that globalist, pro-abort, First Amendment free-speech enemy Fred Thompson is a “conservative”).

“The Definition of Tyranny,” The New American (May 15, 1995), by John F. McManus
Formed in 1921 by Edward Mandell House, President Woodrow Wilson’s right-hand man, the CFR’s purpose has been undeniably clear from the start: to submerge our nation into a socialist, one-world government.”

“Never forget that the CFR was formed to bring about socialism and world government. Its increasing domination over America’s affairs amounts to a conspiracy the grip of which must be broken by an informed and alarmed American citizenry. If CFR influence over our federal government isn’t soon broken, America will be reduced to a mere province in a socialistic world government where freedom has disappeared and national sovereignty is but a dim memory. And James Madison’s worst fear — tyranny reigning in this land — will become a reality. The time to expose the CFR and its grip on this land is now.”

“While in congress, Thompson, reportedly a good friend of Senator John McCain, (R-AZ) supported two obviously anti-free market bills: the McCain-Feingold Campaign Finance Reform act and the Shays-Meehan bill restricting issue ads. He is also a member of Council on Foreign Relations, a main think-tank behind the idea of a North American Union that would eventually dissolve borders between Mexico, Canada and the United States to create one big super-nation…”

Rasmussen poll: Fred Thompson now tied with Giuliani at top of GOP field
http://blogs.usatoday.com/onpolitics/2007/06/rasmussen_poll__3.html

“However, Thompson’s rise has been meteoric. “

Steve Lefemine –
“How convenient for the CFR Globalist Elite’s new pick (i.e., Fred Thompson) to replace the fading John McCain (CFR) campaign, who like a good soldier fell on his sword for his globalist masters to push the Immigration Amnesty Bill (S.1348), to advance the Big Picture agenda of preparing the way for the North American Union (NAU). No problem, the purpose of the McCain candidacy was never to win the Nov. 2008 General Election, but just to keep enough of the Christians/conservatives on the Republican establishment “plantation” so that significant numbers did not go for one of the more principled candidates (Tancredo, Paul, Hunter, Huckabee, Brownback), and certainly so that they would not support a Third Party candidate. That would make it much harder for the CFR to control the election (using among other means, their key personnel in the national media – e.g., CFR-member FOX News head Rupert Murdoch) to get their “man” elected on November 4, 2008: Hillary Clinton. In my opinion, McCain’s former task is now precisely the CFR-assigned role assumed by Mr. Fred Thompson [4 years Bush, Sr. – 8 Years Clinton – 8 Years Bush, Jr. – now it’s Hillary’s turn]. May God, in His righteous judgment and wrath upon this nation of false religion, abortion, and sodomy, remember mercy (Habakkuk 3:2).”

Rasmussen poll:
Fred Thompson now tied with Giuliani at top of GOP field

Just hours after The Los Angeles Times report that its polling shows Fred Thompson now in second place among Republican presidential contenders, Rasmussen Reports has this to say:

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani has to share his spot atop the field of Republican presidential hopefuls this week. The newest face in the race, former Tennessee senator Fred Thompson, is now tied with Giuliani.

Rasmussen’s latest automated national poll of like Republican primary voters and caucus-goers shows:

Giuliani was the choice of 24%, vs. 23% a week ago.
Thompson is also the choice of 24%, vs. his 17% support a week ago.
• Mitt Romney and Sen. John McCain were tied at third, with 11% support each
(vs. 15% a week ago for Romney and 14% for McCain).

Rasmussen says its survey of 633 “likely Republican primary voters,” which includes some independents, has a margin of error of +/- 4 percentage points.

As we have noted before, there is some dispute over whether Rasmussen’s automated polling — meaning the telephone calls are made by machines, not people — is more or less accurate than more traditional methods. See this Mystery Pollster discussion of the issue.

Rasmussen’s analysis of the Thompson numbers?

It is not unusual for a candidate to gain ground in the polls when they first announce their intentions. However, Thompson’s rise has been meteoric.

Monday, Rasmussen reported little change on the Democratic side of the presidential sweepstakes.
